Medication Technician Training Program (MTTP)
Priority Healthcare Services Inc. offers the Initial and Renewal Medication Technician Training Program (MTTP), a Maryland Board of Nursing–approved program that prepares unlicensed staff to safely administer medications under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Within DDA-funded services, MTTP supports safe medication administration for individuals with developmental disabilities living in community-based settings.
Our MTTP ensures medication administration is:
Performed safely and accurately
Conducted by properly trained and authorized staff
Supervised in compliance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act
Integrated into the individual’s Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and Nursing Care Plan
CPR / AED Training
Our Standard CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training prepares staff to respond effectively to cardiac, respiratory, and other life-threatening emergencies. This training meets DDA and Medicaid safety requirements and is essential for staff supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Training objectives include:
Protecting the health and safety of individuals served
Ensuring rapid and appropriate emergency response
Reducing the risk of serious injury or death
Maintaining regulatory compliance
Training is provided through nationally recognized organizations, including:
American Heart Association (AHA)
American Red Cross
National Safety Council
Standard First Aid Training
Our Standard First Aid Training equips staff with the skills necessary to recognize, respond to, and manage common injuries and sudden illnesses in community-based care settings.
Standard First Aid Training
Our Standard First Aid Training equips staff with the skills necessary to recognize, respond to, and manage common injuries and sudden illnesses in community-based care settings. The purpose of this training is to:
- Promote health and safety
- Enable prompt and appropriate responses to injury or illness
- Reduce injury severity and prevent complications
- Support DDA and Medicaid health and welfare compliance
MANDT (Managing Aggressive Behavior Safely) Training
Our MANDT Training is an evidence-based program focused on preventing, de-escalating, and safely responding to challenging behaviors. This training aligns with DDA requirements and emphasizes dignity, rights, and trauma-informed care. MANDT Training equips participants to:
- Promote positive behavioral supports
- Prevent and reduce behavioral crises
- Implement safe, respectful interventions
- Maintain compliance with DDA and Medicaid behavior management regulations
- Protect individuals, staff, and the public
